Collaboratively, our researchers and technologists form the Research & Development team, driving over 40 developments each year. In recent times, our focus has shifted towards pioneering innovative functional and sustainable yarns, along with the advancement of sustainable technological processes.

Below we unveil some of the most recent projects dedicated to elevating the standards of comfort, sustainability, and quality.

DISKO5:

In 2024 we launched DISKO5: D for design, I for innovation, S for sustainability, KO for circular (krožno in Slovenian), and 5 as the five main circular design principles guiding this project.

The DISKO5 project is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Our Consortium:
BETI, Inplet d.o.o., and Komet d.o.o.

DISKO5 is a collaborative effort, bringing together the expertise of three highly specialized companies:
BETI, Inplet d.o.o., and Komet d.o.o.

Project Objective:
Sustainable Slovenian Underwear Collection

DISKO5 has a clear goal:
the development of a distinctive collection of Slovenian sustainable underwear, rooted in circular design principles. We are committed to creating pieces that not only elevate comfort and style but also embody environmental responsibility.

5 Key Features of the Collection:

  • 100% Sustainable Materials: Our underwear pieces will be crafted exclusively from materials that meet rigorous sustainability standards.
  • Modular Design: By modular design we address the diverse elements that can be present in underwear, enabling swift disassembly and perfect recyclability.
  • Durability: We prioritize longevity and adaptability, ensuring our products stand the test of time both in terms of fashion and wear.
  • Optimized Material Consumption: DISKO5 emphasizes efficiency in production, minimizing waste and maximizing the use of resources.
  • Digital Identity for Transparency: Each product in the collection will have a digital identity, providing customers with greater transparency into its origins, manufacturing processes, and care instructions.

Aligning with Green and Digital Transitions

DISKO5 is not just a project; it’s a commitment to sustainability and innovation. We align with the principles of green and digital transitions, contributing to the evolution of a more environmentally conscious and technologically advanced textile industry.

Impact on Job Creation

By pushing the boundaries of sustainable textile production, DISKO5 contributes to the development of new jobs with added value. Our collaboration extends beyond companies; we actively involve designers in the creative process to bring fresh perspectives and cutting-edge ideas to the collection.

A Digital Future for Transparency and Care

The digital identity embedded in each DISKO5 product serves a dual purpose. It enhances transparency, allowing customers to trace the journey of their purchase. Additionally, it provides essential instructions for customer care, ensuring the longevity of the products and minimizing environmental impact.

The project is scheduled to run from January 2023 to December 2024 and is co-financed by the European Union. The total financial value of all three consortium partners amounts to €604,504, with funding from the mechanism totaling €299,999. This investment is part of the measures outlined in the plan, which is funded through the mechanism. For more information, please visit: www.noo.gov.si, www.evropskasredstva.si.
