Why BETI Uses a Modular Exhibition Stand Made from Recycled Materials
Trade fairs are essential platforms for innovation, networking and presenting new solutions. At the same time, they can generate significant amounts of waste – especially during stand construction and dismantling.
Studies show that an average exhibition stand of around 20 m² can produce between 200–400 kg of waste during a single event. On larger trade fairs, this quickly adds up to tonnes of waste within just a few days.

A More Sustainable Approach at BETI
At BETI Textile Industry, sustainability is not only reflected in our yarn development, but also in how we present ourselves at international events.
For Techtextil Frankfurt 2026, BETI will once again use the KNOF MOWA modular exhibition stand – originally developed for our appearance in 2022.
The modular concept allows the stand to be reused across multiple events, while still adapting the layout and visual communication when needed. For this year’s fair, the stand will be refreshed with updated graphics and messaging.
Benefits of a Modular Exhibition System
The KNOF MOWA modular system offers several advantages:
- reusable stand elements
- significantly reduced exhibition waste
- fast installation without complex tools
- flexibility for different exhibition layouts
- customizable graphics and branding elements
In practice, modular systems can reduce exhibition waste by up to 90%.

Circular Thinking in Practice
Transitioning to a circular economy often starts with small but meaningful decisions.
Choosing reusable materials for exhibition stands not only reduces environmental impact, but also clearly communicates a company’s values.
At BETI, sustainability is part of a broader strategy – from recycled polyamide yarns and responsible sourcing to the way we design our exhibition presence.
Partnership with KNOF
The modular exhibition stand was developed by KNOF, a Slovenian social enterprise focused on reducing waste from textiles, plastics and furniture through circular design solutions.
Their work focuses on locally sourced recycled materials and modular systems designed for long-term reuse.
