BETI upcycle^ wins silver innovation award
We are always striving to be first on the road to sustainability. That’s why we are working hard on a number of projects to make them more sustainable.
HISTORY
For the 17th year in a row, the Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina (GZDBK) announced awards for innovation and awarded them to innovators of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina. This year, 31 innovation proposals were submitted by 14 applicants, prepared by 247 innovators. The eight-member commission for evaluating innovations selected the innovations that were awarded on the basis of the received applications and presentations. Awards and diplomas were awarded to the awardees at an event held on June 12, 2024 in Otočec in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport and SPIRIT Slovenia. President of the Chamber, mag. Marko Gorjup, handed over the awards.
PATH TO FUTURE
In times of constant changes in the business and geopolitical spheres, it is important that the Dolenjska and Bela krajina region remains active in investing in research, development and innovation. This is key to the further development of the economy in the region, which is facing the challenges of modern times. Every year, the GZDBK tender shows innovative ideas and innovations that prove the positive trend of the region in this respect.
BETI UPCYCLE^ WINS A SILVER AWARD FOR INNOVATION
We are happy to announce that we received a silver award for our innovative work. In recent months, we have devoted ourselves to the development of environmentally friendly recycled products from yarn rests. We built on an eco conscious approach to design. Greath thank you to everyone involved in the project. Each team member played a key role in its success. The authors of the project are Maja Čibej, Petra Kovačič, Klementina Plut, Dragan Predovič, Polona Hrovat Mavsar (Knof) and Katja Keserič Markovič.
Beti upcycle^ products are a showcase of recycled fashion in practice. They are also a demonstration how partnerships and strong women make great things happen.
