New Beti multi-purpose playground

On 17 June 2025, the Beti sports playground was officially opened.

The development of the local and wider community is part of Beti d.o.o.’s values, which is why we donated the land for the new playground to the Municipality of Metlika. We believe that a successful society is a healthy and active one, so we are proud to support our employees and the wider community to lead an active life.

In their speeches, the Mayor of Metlika, Martina Legan Janžekovič, and the State Secretary, mag. Dejan Židan from the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport stressed that investing in sport and youth activity is crucial for the healthy development of society.

Especially in urban environments, such facilities are places where generations from the local community meet, connect and grow, and as such are of great importance to the community.

The new Beti sports field ceremoniously opened with a short programme featuring singer Eva Vukšinič, singers and folklore group from the Metlika Kindergarten, the Metlika Primary School Choir and the Sokol Gymnastics Association, as well as an attractive football match, in which representatives of the Municipality of Metlika competed against the girls’ team from NK Kolpa football club.

Despite the fact that the Municipality of Metlika is committed both to the development of sport and to the sport itself, their team had to concede the upper hand to the girls from NK Kolpa. However, because it is important to work and cooperate, both teams received trophies in the end. The match was refereed by State Secretary mag. Dejan Židan.
